How we roll
Personal care, not a revolving door of strangers
Every booking comes with the same promises.
One sitter per booking
We work as a team, but you'll have one dedicated sitter for each booking, so your pet isn't meeting someone new every visit.
Request your preferred sitter
Got a favorite? Ask for them. We get it — our pets have preferences too.
Consistent updates + photos
We send updates and photos while you are away, because we know you miss them.
Every animal welcome
Got a guinea pig? We'll be there in a wheek! Got a pig? We'll oink the job! There isn't an animal we won't love on.
About us
Hi, we're Julia & RJ
- Co-founded by RJ in 2013
- Julia pet sitting since 2021
- Our crew: 2 dogs, 1 cat, 2 fish tanks
- Woman co-owned & operated
RJ co-founded Pine Tree Pet Care in 2013 and eventually put the business on pause to focus on other ventures. Julia started pet sitting in 2021, through a mix of Rover and friend referrals.
When we moved in together, we decided to join forces and revamp the business in Snohomish County. We aim to be the pet sitters we'd want to hire for our own zoo of animals.
We understand how hard it is to leave your pets, and the last thing you want is to worry about them while you're traveling. We treat every client like they're our own pet, and we can't wait to meet your pets (and you)!
— Julia & RJ

Pet parents, in their own words
Julia and RJ have been doing occasional drop-in visits for my 2 dogs, one of which is a 4-month old puppy so it's not exactly an easy task! They are amazing, always on time and communicative. They send photos and give a great care summary from the visit. It's a huge relief to know my pups are getting such a caring, attentive visit while we're gone!
Facebook recommendation I highly recommend Pine Tree Pet Care! They treated my animals like their own, which is always what I'm hoping for! Even with a sudden emergent issue, they were up to still help and did everything to help me. I am so appreciative of them and will 100% use them again.

The things people ask first
Something else on your mind? Send us a message and ask.
What animals do you care for?
Dogs, cats, birds, fish and small pets — and exotic and farm animals too: horses, guinea pigs, pigs and chickens. We have several years' experience with horses and other farm animals.
Which areas do you serve?
Snohomish, Monroe, Sultan and Everett, in Snohomish County, Washington. We come to you. If you're not sure whether you're in our area, send us a message and ask.
Who will actually be looking after my pet?
Julia or RJ: one of us is your sitter for the whole booking. If your pet has a favorite, just ask for them.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes, both — and we're pet CPR certified too.
Will I hear from you while I'm away?
Yes. Expect updates and photos while you're away, and overnight stays include daily updates.
What's the difference between an overnight stay and continuous care?
An overnight stay ($80 a night) is an evening and morning stay with your dog; we may leave for up to 8 hours during the day, with regular care and daily updates. Continuous care ($100 a night) means most of the day is spent at your home, which is best for anxious or senior pets.
Do holidays or extra pets cost more?
Holidays add $15 to all pricing: Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, Thanksgiving, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Memorial Day, Martin Luther King Day and Presidents' Day. Each additional dog or cat adds $10.
How do I book?
Send us a message to book or ask questions — call, email, or message us on Facebook or Instagram, whichever is easiest. We can't wait to meet your crew.
